QuestionAnswer
What is the SET POINT? The normal reading or range of normal.
Where is the body's thermostat located? In the HYPOTHALAMUS.
What are the largest molecules in the body? DNA molecules.
What happens to a denatured protein? They lose their SHAPE and FUNCTIONALITY.
In what order do the phases of mitosis occur? PMAT (Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase)
What is the end product of TRANSCRIPTION? A mRNA molecule.
What is the end product of TRANSLATION? A protein.
What is the most complex tissue in the body? NERVOUS tissue.
What tissue is most likely to form a keloid scar as it heals? CONNECTIVE tissue.
What are the mature cells of the bones called? OSTEOCYTES.
Where is HEMATOPOIETIC tissue found? In the BONES.
