| cell | Location on a spreadsheet shaped like a rectangle that allows you to enter data or formulas. |
| cell address | This is how we locate a specific cell on a spreadsheet using a unique letter and number combination. |
| column | This is a vertical group of cells on a spreadsheet identified by a letter of the alphabet. |
| formula | This is a mathematical equation entered into a cell to perform a specific calculation that includes the cell addresses needed to perform the calculation. |
| row | This is a horizontal group of cells on a spreadsheet identified by a number. |
| spreadsheet | A software program that allows you to record data, chart data, and perform calculations on data; displayed as labels, formulas or information. |
| trendline | A line that can be used to show the pattern of a set of data. |
| variable | Any type of information that can vary on a spreadsheet |
| line graph | These graphs are often used to compare two variables and show how they are related. They let you compare data over time and make predictions about the future. |
| bar graph | These graphs are used to show relationships or comparisons between groups or items that don't have to be related. These graphs can be displayed vertically or horizontally and let you compare more than two items or groups. |
| pie chart | This type of graph displays percentages which compares the different parts of the same whole; drawn in the shape of a circle. |
