Week 4 General Computer Apps terms
| Term | Definition |

| Hard Return | ending a line of text and moving the cursor to the next line by pressing the enter key |
| Home Row | keys where fingers are initially placed or where fingers return while typing |
| Keyboard Shortcuts | keys or combination of keys which can be used to perform a task which would typically require a mouse or other pointing device |
| QWERTY Keyboard | can be identified by the top row of letters and places all alphabetical keys and numbers in the same location regardless of the computer |
| Word Wrap | cursor automatically moves to the next line without having to press the enter key; referred to as a soft return |
| Ergonomics | the design and arrangement of things people use at work, so that the worker is efficient, productive and safe |
| File | anything that can be saved digitally; the result when you save something digitally |
| Hardware | physical parts of the computer, such as the hard drive, monitor, keyboard |
| Software | programs designed to enable computers to accomplish certain tasks; the three main categories are programming software, system software, and application software |
| cloud | global network of remote servers which operate through the internet and serve as a file storage location for users |
