Filter Gallery A collection of filters in Photoshop that allows users to apply multiple filter effects and see a preview of the changes. Applying a watercolor filter from the filter gallery to create a painted look on an image.
Custom Filters Filters created by the user to apply specific effects or adjustments to images. Designing a custom filter to adjust the brightness and contrast of a series of photos consistently.
Lighting Effects Effects that simulate different lighting conditions on an image, such as spotlights or directional lights. Adding a spotlight effect to highlight a subject in a photo.
Liquify A tool in Photoshop that allows users to push, pull, rotate, reflect, pucker, and bloat the pixels of an image to create artistic effects. Using the liquify tool to create a surreal, melted look on a portrait.
Patterns Repeating designs or textures that can be applied to layers or selections in Photoshop. Creating a polka dot pattern and applying it as a background for a design.
Brushes Tools in Photoshop that simulate the effect of painting or drawing with various textures and shapes. Using a textured brush to add a grunge effect to an image.
Styles Preset effects that can be applied to layers, including drop shadows, strokes, and glows. Applying a layer style to add a glowing effect to text.
Colors The range of hues that can be used in digital images, managed through tools like the color picker and swatches. Selecting a specific shade of blue from the color picker for a design element.
Swatches Predefined colors that can be saved and reused in Photoshop projects. Creating a swatch library of brand colors for consistent use in marketing materials.
Gradients Smooth transitions between two or more colors, often used to add depth or dimension to an image. Applying a gradient to a background to create a sunset effect.
Layer Styles Effects that can be applied to entire layers, such as shadows, glows, and bevels. Adding a drop shadow layer style to make text stand out from the background.
