Project Management The application of processes, methods, skills, knowledge, and experience to achieve specific project objectives within agreed parameters. Using project management tools like Trello or Asana to track tasks and deadlines for a UI/UX design project.
UI/UX Project Lifecycle The series of phases that a UI/UX project goes through from inception to completion, including research, design, development, testing, and launch. Following the steps of user research, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and final implementation.
Task Prioritization The process of determining the order in which tasks should be completed based on their importance and urgency. Using a prioritization matrix to decide which features of a social media app to design first.
Timeline Development Creating a schedule that outlines the start and end dates for each phase of the project, ensuring timely delivery of the final product. Developing a Gantt chart to visualize the project timeline and track progress.
Comprehensive Project Plan A detailed document that outlines the project's scope, objectives, timeline, tasks, and resources needed to complete the project. Creating a project plan for a social media app that includes user personas, wireframes, and a development schedule.
CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) A method to frequently deliver apps to customers by introducing automation into the stages of app development. CI/CD is a best practice for DevOps teams. Using CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and deployment of new features for a digital product.
Workflow Optimization Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of workflows to enhance productivity and meet project milestones. Streamlining the design review process to reduce feedback cycles and speed up project completion.
Project Milestones Key points or significant events in the project timeline that mark the completion of major phases or deliverables. Reaching the user testing phase or completing the final design prototype.
Auto-Layout (in Figma) A feature in Figma that allows designers to create responsive designs by automatically adjusting the layout of elements based on the content and screen size. Using Auto-Layout to create an image gallery that resizes and repositions images dynamically.
Task List A detailed list of tasks required to complete a project, often organized by priority and deadlines. Creating a task list for the social media app project, including tasks like "Create wireframes" and "Conduct user testing".
Project Planning The process of defining the project's objectives, scope, timelines, tasks, and resources needed to complete the project successfully. Developing a project plan that outlines each phase of the UI/UX design process for a new app.
Group Activity Collaborative exercises where students work together to solve problems, generate ideas, or complete tasks. Participating in a group activity to brainstorm and plan the project phases for a social media app.
