what is a tropic hormone and what is a releasing hormone. Tropic hormones are hormones that target different glands that secrete hormones. Releasing hormones are hormones that stimulate the release of other hormones.
Name the four principal hormones secreted by the pancreatic islets. Glucagon, insulin, somatotastin, and pancreatic polypeptide.
which type of body tissue produces the hormone leptin? Adipose tissue commonly known as body fat.
Name the fluid portion of the whole blood. Plasma which is the watery fluid portion of the blood that is 90% water.
what are some factors that influence blood volume? The conditions of the heart, kidneys, liver that affect fluid retention and loss.
List the four ABO blood groups. they are A, O, B and AB.
When does the heart attain its adult weight and shape? Between puberty and the age of 25.
Describe the shape of the heart? The hearts shape is that similar to a pinecone.
what is a myocardial infraction? most commonly known as a heart attack caused by a lack of blood flow.
what event does an ECG wave represent? The average direction of electrical travel.
