What is the difference in electrical charge called? Potential - because it is a type of stored energy.
What is local Potential? Slight shift away from the resting membrane in a specific region in plasma membrane.
What is internal white matter? Composed of short and long tracts.
What are shorter tracts? Conduct impulses from neuron, located in the cerebellar cortex, to neurons whose dendrites compose of nuclei, located in the interior of cerebellum.
What is dorsal root ganglion? Swelling in the dorsal root of each spinal nerve.
What is plexuses? Complex network formed by the ventral rami of most spinal nerve (not T2 through T12) subdividing and then joining together to form individual nerves.
What are Trophic hormones? Hormones that have stimulating effect on other endocrine glands,
What is plasma composed of? It is liquid part of blood, clear, straw-colored fluid, made up of 90% water and 10% solutes.
What is QRS complex? Represents depolarization of the ventricles, and repolarization of atria.
What are lymphatic capillaries? These are microscopic blind end vessels where lymphatic vessels originate. Walls consist of single layer of endothelial cells. Network branch and anastomose freely.
