Shivering to raise your body temperature is an example of the body trying to maintain homeostasis as the example of a negative-feedback mechanism
What does a positive-feedback control system do? Accelerate the change
What system is least involved with homeostasis? Reproductive System
Where is the bodies thermostat located? They Hypothalamus
What is pathogenesis? The course of a diseases development.
Which is the most complex: Viruses, Tapeworms, Bacteria and Protozoa Tapeworms
What is epidemiology? The study of occurrence, distribution and transmission of diseases in human populations.
What is a set point? A normal reading or range of normal.
What does a negative-feedback control system do? Oppose a change
What do viruses contain? Intracellular parasites that consist of DNA/RNA surrounded by a protein coat and sometimes by a lipoprotein envelope.
