| Cash Flow | The total amount of money transferred into and out of a business or household |
| Cost-Benefit Analysis- | A process by which business are analyzed, the benefits are summed, an then the costs associated with that action are subtracted |
| Cost Comparison | The process of comparing the price of different products or services |
| Creditworthy | Financially sound enough to justify the extension of credit |
| Depreciation | A reduction in the value of an asset with the passage of time |
| Financial Advisor | A person employed to provide financial services or guidance to clients |
| Gross Income | An individual's total pay before taxes and other deductions are taken out the paycheck |
| Income Tax | Levied by the government directly on income, especially an annual tax on personal income |
| Inflation | General increase in prices and fall in purchasing value of money |
| Medicare | The federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older and some younger people with disabilities |
| Net Income | An individual's total pay before taxes and other deductions into account |
| Property Tax | The tax levied by the governing authority of the jurisdiction in which the property is located |
| Altruism | The belief in or practice of selfless concern for the well-being of other |
| Citizenship | The state of being vested with rights, privileges, and duties |
| Empathy | The ability too understand and share the feelings of another |
| Healthcare | The maintenance and improvement of physical and mental health through medical services |
| Helping Professions | Careers that nurture the growth of problems a person has (nurses, doctors, social workers, teachers, and preachers) |
| Needs Assessment | A process for determining and addressing needs or "gaps" for people in need |
| Oath | A solemn promise regarding one's future action or behavior |
| Patient-centered care | Care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient needs |
| Public Health | The health of the population as a whole, monitored and regulated by the state |
| Selflessness | Concern more with the needs and wishes of others that with yourself |
| Servant Leadership | A philosophy of leading other by putting the members needs over your own |
| Simulated Work Environment | A learning environment in which a trainee is able to practice using and operating relevant industrial equipment under realistic workplace conditions |
| Stewardship | The job of supervising or taking care of something, like an organization or a property |
