Homeostasis Is the state of steady internal, physical, chemical, and social conditions maintained by living systems.
Organic Molecules The four main groups of biologically important organic compounds are carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids.
Cell Structure A cell has three main parts, the cell membrane, the nucleus and the cytoplasm.
Cytoskeleton Is a network of protein fibers that form the structural network of the cell. The main function is structure and support for the cell.
The two chromatids formed from each original chromosome contain duplicate copies of DNA
Extra Cellular Matrix Helps cells attach to, and communicate with nearby cells, and plays an important role in cell growth, cell movement and other cell functions.
Epithelial Tissue Is one of the four main types of body tissue found in your organs and covers internal and external surfaces in your body.
Cytoplasm Is a semi-liquid jelly-like material, which joins the nucleus and the cell membrane.
Connective tissue Tissue that supports, protects and gives structure to other tissues in the body, connective tissue is made up of cells, fibers that run in the same direction. Types of connective tissue include bone, cartilage, fat, blood and lymphatic tissue.
Myofibrils Is one of the slender threads that can be made visible in a muscle fiber by maceration in certain acids.
