| Static | When the camera is in a fixed position. // Purpose: Great for dialogue, giving a painting-like look, and enhancing a certain character's POV typically portraying distant and cold feelings. |
| Slow Pan | When the camera is moving horizontally, but staying in a fixed position // Purpose: Used to demonstrate movement or to reveal something. Slow builds anticipation. |
| Whip Pan | When the camera is moving horizontally, but staying in a fixed position; fast. // Purpose: Can increase intensity or show the connection of two characters whether they are positive or negative. |
| Tilt | Directs the camera upwards or downwards, but in a fixed location. // Purpose: Captures something up high or down low, reveals information, or can portray characters as weak or dominant. |
