Location and function of cell

Cytosol -Fluid inside the cell -Holds organelles together
Nucleus -Large round structure in middle of the cell -Holds DNA -In charge of cell reproduction
Nucleolus -In the Nucleus -Reproduces ribosomes
Ribosomes -Smallest dots in the cell -Synthesize proteins
Rough ER -Transports proteins through vesicles
Smooth ER - Plays role in detoxification -Lipid synthesis
Golgi Apparatus -Receives, Process, and sends lipids and proteins
Lysosomes - clean up crew - recycle old organelles -created by the Golgi apparatus
Peroxisomes -Produce Hydrogen Peroxide -Breaks down fatty acids -replicate by division
Mitochondria - make ATP from chemical energy in food
Centrioles -Vital for cell division
