| Leader | a person who has commanding authority or influence |
| Leadership | capacity to lead |
| Power | the ability to exert effort for the accomplishment of a task |
| Position Power | the type of power you have when you have a specific rank or title in an organization |
| Reward Power | the ability to reward others when they follow your wishes or instructions. |
| Expert Power | the ability an employee has, regardless of seniority, to show expertise in a subject or situation |
| Identity Power | ability to influence others based on their identity with the person |
| Leadership Style | the manner and approach of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people to accomplish a task |
| Initiative | an introductory step |
| Human Relations | a course, study, or program designed to develop better interpersonal and intergroup adjustments |
| Integrity | the quality or state of being complete or undivided |
| Autocratic Leadership | one person controls all the decisions and takes very little inputs from other group members |
| Democratic Leadership | a leadership style in which members of the group participate in the decision-making process |
| Free-rein Leadership | a passive or non-intervention leadership style where the leader provides autonomy to their team members |
| Delegate | entrust a task or responsibility to another person, typically one who is less senior than oneself |
| Self-managed teams | a group of employees who work collaboratively to complete a project or reach a defined outcome with little to no direct supervision from a boss |
| Open Leader | having the confidence and humility to give up the need to be in control while inspiring commitment from people to accomplish goals |
| Situational Leader | pays close attention to the changing needs of the team, task, and organization. |
