L’Alsace se trouve dans le nord-est de la France. Alsace is found in the north-east of France.
La Provence se trouve dans le sud du pays. Provence is in the south of the country.
La Normandie se trouve à l’ouest de la France. Normandie is in the west (of France.)
La Savoie se trouve dans l’est du pays. Savoie is in the east (of the country.)
Qu’est-ce qu’il y a à voir là-bas ? What is there to see over there?
Qu’est-ce qu’il y a à faire ? What is there to do?
A Paris,il y a un fleuve qui s’appelle la Seine. In Paris, there’s a river called the Seine.

Une collines, des collines A hill, hills
La côte, des côtes The coast, coasts
Un lac, des lacs A lake, lakes
C’est près. It’s close. (It’s near).
C’est loin. It’s far.
C’est trop loin. It’s too far.
C’est à côté. It’s next door.
Je préfère là où il fait beau/chaud. I prefer where it’s nice/hot.
J’aime beaucoup la neige. I love the snow.
Je préférais aller à la montagne. I preferred to go to the mountains.
J’aimerais me baigner à la mer. I would like to swim in the sea.
