Nature of Ethics

| Accountability | The conditions of having to answer to answer for or be liable for your action; accepting responsibility for your decisions |
| Consequence | the result of an action |
| ethical principles | standard that govern your behavior |
| ethical situation | am issue in which you must decide whether something is right or wrong |
| ethics | the basic principles that govern your behavior |
| fairness | the ability to make judgments without favoritism or self interest; engaging in fair competition and creating equal relationships |
| honesty | truthfulness |
| integrity | adhering to an established set of personal ethics and sound more moral principles; acting with honesty in all situations |
| reputation | a person's or business's good name |
| respect | rearguard or esteem honoring the rights, freedoms, views, and property of others |
| responsibility | fulfilling one's obligations in a dependable way, reliable manner |
| rule of law | complying with laws and regulations |
| spin | a dishonesty way of presenting a person or situation |
| transparency | the quality of being just as one seems; being open and truthful when communicating |
| trustworthy | reliable; deserving the confidence others |
| viability | the long-term value of your choices |
