TermDefinition
Constitution The laws established for the united states which determines the checks and balances of the government and the freedoms of the U.S. citizens.
Executive Branch One of the three branches of government which includes the president and vice president. It enforces the law of the land.
Legislative Branch One of the three branches of government. The branch responsible for creating laws.
Judicial Branch One of the three branches of government. This branch is responsible for interpreting the laws.
Senate The smaller upper assembly of the bicameral US Congress. Senators serve a 6 year term.
House of Representatives One part of the bicameral Congress. Responsible for creating and amending laws.
Federalist An individual who believed in creating a government of checks and balances of the power being split between
