Substantive law are the rights that people have some come from due process clause in the u.s. constitution. ex. Miranda rights
equity branch of law that provides relief when money damages are not sufficient. Applying equity depends on seeking monetary damages-- if seeking monetary damages, equity doesn't apply.
Injunction (status quo injunction) when no monetary damages are done but you can keep an alternate event from coming when a contract is broken
Specific performance no way to replace the item with another item and no money damages, law protects sale to purchaser
