Few reasons to leave things out of the frame: The "Numbing" Effect, Painting a Bad Picture or Painting a "Pretty" Picture.
"Numbing Effect" Is a length issue... Moviemakers have to decide what to keep and what to cut.
Painting a Bad Picture Movies don't always show the effects of thrilling scenes of violent actions. The movie is entertaining, they don't show you cleaning or doing chores.
Painting a "Pretty" Picture Movies have tricks... make for entertaining viewing , but they don't paint an accurate picture of real life. For example, we do not run or fight in high heels.
