| Ventral Spinocerebellar | Conducts impulses that originate in muscle stretch receptors to the brain to enhance muscle tone and coordinate skilled, voluntary movements. |
| Dorsal Columns | Conducts general sensory information, e.g. discriminative touch, pressure, conscious proprioception. |
| Lateral Corticospinal | Conducts impulses to efferent somatic neurons for the conscious voluntary control of skeletal muscles |
| Ventral Spinothalamic | Conducts impulses that allow the brain to perceive crude touch and pressure. |
| Lateral Spinothalamic | Conducts impulses that allow the brain to perceive pain and temperature. |
