Web Browser A program used to view web pages.
Bit The smallest unit of data a digital computer can recognize.
Byte A group of 8 bits.
Kilobyte 1,024 bytes.
Megabyte Approximately 1 million bytes.
Gigabyte Approximately 1 billion bytes.
Terabyte Approximately 1 trillion bytes.
Petabyte Approximately 1,000 Terabytes.
Barcode reader An input device that reads barcodes.
Pixel The smallest colorable area in an electronic image.
Speakers Output devices that produce sound.
Storage device A piece of hardware into which storage medium is inserted to be read from or written to.
Storage Medium The part of a storage system where data is stored, such as a DVD.
Remote Storage A storage device that is not directly part of the PC being used.
