Google Drawings

Graves Google Drawings vocabulary

TermDefinition
Arrange A menu that allows users to change where a drawn item appears in a drawing
Order A menu that allows users to change where a drawn item appears in a stack of items
Border Color Color of the line around a drawn item
Weight The thickness of a border or line
Dash The solidness of a border or line
Rotation The number of degrees that a drawn item is turned from straight up (or 0 degrees)
Drop Shadow The shaded area that can be made to appear behind a drawn item
Opacity (from opaque) How much an item keeps things behind it from being seen (like a door)
Reflection A mirror image that can be made to appear below a drawn item
Transparency (from transparent) How clear (or see-through) an item appears to be (like a window)
Gradient One (or more) gradual transition(s) from one color to another
Font The general appearance of text, including typeface, sizes, and styles
Bold Letters made thicker to make them stand out from other text
Italic Putting letters on a slant to make them stand out from other text
Image A file of a photo, picture, graphic or diagram
Crop Cutting out parts of a photo, making it smaller
Mask Applying a shape as the boundary for a photo
Brightness How generally bright or dark a photo appears
Contrast How similar or different the bright and dark areas of a photo are to each other
WordArt Text with artistic features to add design to an image or document
Filter Allows you to get rid of extra stuff and information to focus on what you want
Linear Spreading out in a straight line
Radial Spreading out like a wave from the center of a circle
Fill A solid color or gradient applied to the main part of a shape--if transparent is applied, the color or gradient is removed
