What is the role of homeostasis in the human body? To maintain the constant and precise chemical composition of the internal environment within very narrow limits
Are enzymes essential for optimal well-being? As functional proteins, enzymes facilitate the breakdown of large molecules during chemical reactions.
What is the primary function of the cell's nucleus? The nucleus contains DNA molecules, which are hereditary material detecting the cell's structure and function, and can be passed on during cell division.
Is active transport integral in cellular functions? Active transport uses cellular energy to move ions against the concentration gradient, across the cell membrane, creating a concentration of these ions on one side.
What is tissue regeneration? It is the growth of new functional tissues through the elimination of injured and dead tissues by the phagocytic cells to provide room for new tissue growth.
What is the function of connective tissue? Connective tissues protect other tissues and organs, transport various substances throughout the body, and support and connect tissues and organs.
The main functions of the skin are? Protection, sensation, excretion, immunity, and temperature regulation.
How are the blood calcium levels regulated? Osteoblasts aid in depositing excessive calcium into the bone and can breakdown the bone matrix to generate calcium, thereby regulation calcium levels in the blood.
How does the pelvic girdle support the human skeleton? Serving as a stable circular base, the pelvic girdle attaches the lower extremities while supporting the skeleton trunk.
