TermDefinition
Diabetic Neuropathy Diabetic patients who lose sensation in their bodies due to nerve damage.
Basal Cells An epithelial stem cell that sits on an epithelial basement membrane.
Anosmia A complete lack of the sense of smell. This can cause great depression.
Tastants A water-soluble chemical that produces a taste sensation by activating taste receptor cells.
Cenumin A buildup of a wax-like substance.
Auditory Ossicles Are tiny moveable bones in the middle ear that transmit sound through the area in the middle ear.
Endolymth An extracellular fluid inside the labyrinth of the inner ear.
Pitch The amount of sound waves that occur in a period of time.
Ciliary body Consists of ciliary muscle to form the shape of the lense and epithelium of the eye.
Pupil The opening of the eye where light passes through before reaching the lens.
