TermDefinition
Digital Footprint Traces or things that indicate that you have used the internet.
Cookies Data stored in a specific website so it can be used later on. Examples may be as advertisement privacy, user preference on website, and such.
Metadata Data about data. Provides information about collected data, and why it is the way it is. Helps with tracking data.
Data The store of information digitally.
Spreadsheet A form of grid-like document that can be used to store data and perform calculations.
Browser History The activity that you have done in the internet. Stores the websites you have visited.
Digital Literacy The ability of an individual to independently browse the internet. Includes writing, listening and technical skills.
Blog A website that has information displayed in an informal, or casual style.
Dossier A document or series of documents containing information about a particular subject or individual.
Derogatory The act of showing disrespect or strong disapproval.
Social Networking Use of internet-based social media to connect with other people.
Viral The act of a specific topic, person or thing quickly gaining popularity across one or more social media platforms.
Privacy Settings A set of rules that you provide that tells a website or application what it is allowed to access and/or display from you or your personal information.
GeoLocation Used to tell a device's whereabouts and their approximate location.
