TermDefinition
digital footprint information about a particular person that exists on the internet as a result of their online activity.
cookies a piece of data from a website that is stored within a web browser that the website can retrieve at a later time.
geolocation process of identifying the geographical location of a person by using digital information processed through the internet.
metadata a set of data that describes and gives information about other data.
data facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.
spreadsheet a document where data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid.
browser history a list of recently visited web sites.
digital literacy a person's ability to find, evaluate, and communicate information by using typing or digital media platforms.
blog a regularly updated website typically run by an individual or small group.
dossier detects and blocks threats and vulnerabilities.
derogatory proactive approach to protecting computer systems, networks and people from attacks.
social networking the use of websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself.
viral a computer program that can copy and infect a computer without permission from the user.
privacy setting limits who can access your profile and what information visitors can see.
