| cookies | a piece of data from a website that is stored within a web browser that the website can retrieve at a later time. |
| geolocation | process of identifying the geographical location of a person by using digital information processed through the internet. |
| metadata | a set of data that describes and gives information about other data. |
| data | facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis. |
| spreadsheet | a document where data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid. |
| browser history | a list of recently visited web sites. |
| digital literacy | a person's ability to find, evaluate, and communicate information by using typing or digital media platforms. |
| blog | a regularly updated website typically run by an individual or small group. |
| dossier | detects and blocks threats and vulnerabilities. |
| derogatory | proactive approach to protecting computer systems, networks and people from attacks. |
| social networking | the use of websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself. |
| viral | a computer program that can copy and infect a computer without permission from the user. |
| privacy setting | limits who can access your profile and what information visitors can see. |
