Yr 11: Mon college

Useful phrases to describe your school

Mon collège s’appelle BMS. My school is called BMS.
C’est un collège mixte et il y a environ mille élèves. It is mixed and there are around 1000 students.
Les cours commencent à 9h et finissent à 17h00. Lessons start at 9 and finish at 4.
La pause déjeuner est à une heure cinq. The lunch break is at 1.05.
La récréation dure vingt minutes, normalement je discute avec mes amis. Morning break lasts 20 minutes, normally I chat with my friends.
Nous avons six cours par jour et j'étudie 10 matières comme les maths, l'anglais et les sciences. We have 6 lessons a day and I study 10 subjects such as Maths, English and Sciences.
Dans mon collège, il y a une grande cantine et une bibliothèque, cependant, il n’y a pas de terrain de foot. In my school there is a big canteen and a library however, there is no football pitch.
Je pense que mon collège est très bien équipé. I think that my school is very well equipped.
Il y a une bibliothèque où on peut lire des livres intéressants. There is a library where we can read interesting books.
Il y a un terrain de sport où on peut jouer au foot. There is a sports ground where we can play football.
Il y a une infirmerie où on peut être soigné si on est malade. There is a medical room where we can be cared for if we're ill.
Il y a une cantine où on peut manger des bons repas. There is a canteen where we can eat good meals.
Il n’y a pas de laboratoire donc on ne peut pas faire d’expériences. . There is not lab so we can't do any experiments.
Il n’y a pas de gymnase donc on ne peut pas dépenser son énergie There is no gym so we can't burn energy.
