Words Are Birds

Stanza #1-What do you infer the author mean when he says "words are birds that arrive with books and spring"? words come across a book like birds fly across the sky. The author express his true feeling for words and how it makes him feel like spring time. This piece displays freedom.
Stanza #2-Based on lines 6-10, "they love clouds the winds and trees", what do you infer the author mean? Reading a books can be relaxing and enjoyable at the same time.
Stanza #3- What do you infer, " some words are messengers that come from far away from distant lands" means? Birds have the tendency of letting us know when the weather is going to change. Birds signal messages all the time.
Stanza #4- What can you infer the author means, "for them there are no borders only stars moon and sun"? Birds fly freely in the air, "no borders", no boundary. Just like birds, words are made to learn. There are lots of words in the dictionary, in which one can learn. There are no limits to birds and words.
Stanza #5-Based on stanza 5, what does the author mean? "some words are familiar like canaries others are exotic like the quetzal bird" Some words are common, while others are difficult.The author compares common birds with birds we're not familiar with, just like learning new words.
Stanza #6- some can stand the cold others migrate with the sun to the south In comparison, some words are difficult to pronouce and some are easy to learn.
Stanza #7- some words die caged—they're difficult to translate This meaning there are various forms of words with distinct moods and emotions. Some words you forget, others you remember for a lifetime.
What is the author's tone? This poem expresses happiness and display how beautiful and colorful birds are.
Stanza #8- and others build nests have chicks warm them feed them. Some words are comfortable to use in everyday language, just like birds adapt to different habitat. Difficult words become simple to use.
How many stanzas are in the poem? Ten
Stanza #9-teach them how to fly and one day they go away in flocks Teach yourself new words every day and watch how your vocabulary enhance. You will be able to go anywhere in life and add to all sorts of conversations.
Stanza #10- he letters on this page are the prints they leave by the sea The words in this poem have so much meaning and is deep like the sea.
