| VOUS would take the place of... | ...Michael et toi (you both, you guys, y'all) |
| ELLES would take the place of... | ...Madeline et Julia |

| NOUS would take the place of... | ...Maurice, Juliette, et moi |
| Use VOUS when you are | talking to your BOSS or any GROUP of people (even a GROUP of friends). |
| Use TU when you are | talking to your friend or family member. |
| Use NOUS when you are | talking about yourself AND somebody else. |
| on | "one" or people in general |
| il and elle CAN ALSO MEAN | it (Il for masculine objects, Elle for feminine objects) |
| La pizza? Elle est délicieuse! | The pizza? IT is delicious! |
| Le steak? Il est bon. | The steak? IT is good. |
