Form Structure and sound of language.
Phonemes Smallest unit of sound.
Morphemes Root words or words that stand alone.
Syntax The order of words in sentences.
Use (Pragmatics) How we use language to communicate.
Idiom "It's raining like cats and dogs."
Metaphor "She had her eagle-eye watching for him."
Simile "He ran like a frightened rabbit."
Proverb "The early bird catches the worm."
