+ - on services like sharing economy -cheap but also draws attention from taxi firms and hotels -may also not knwo safety regualtions and if theft occurs, insurance police will cover
digital divide created by people who have greater access to technology than others (ppl without are at huge disadvantage, technology can allow ppl to apply for jobs, uni, courses ++
causes of the digital divide -some ppl don’t have enough money to buy new devices like phones and laptops- v expensive -urban areas are more likely to have greater network coverage than rural -older people (can’t use new technology)
what has this divide caused - a global divide- an inequality between richer and poorer countries -One Laptop Per Child, provides laptops to children in Central Asia, Africa and South America to combat global and digital divide
