What does love have to do with dad or mom saying you can't do something you want to do? Love is kind. I need to listen to them. Love is not selfish. I shouldn’t whine about something I’m told to do. I should obey.
What does love have to do with the situation when your little brother or sister hides your soccer shoes and you have ten minutes to get to the park for a game? Love is patient. Even though my brother (or sister) is wrong, that doesn’t mean I have the right to be mean back to him (or her).
What does love have to do with visiting a relative who always pats you on the head and treats you like you were five? Again, love isn’t selfish. Maybe it isn’t the most fun I’ve ever had, but I can still be kind.
