Hello, Universe

the high point of a story, the part that readers have been waiting for because it answers the big question(s) climax
the main character of the story, the person that readers tend to cheer for; usually, the "good guy" (or "good girl") of the story protagonist
an event that could be seen as random, occurring by chance at just the right time and place; two girls in the story did not believe in this coincidence
the influences (God, gods, the universe, etc.) that guide one's path in life and/or determine one's destiny fate
a predetermined course of events that one is guided on by forces beyond one's control destiny
The type of character who, essentially, remains the same throughout the story static
The type of character who changes and grows during the course of a story dynamic
the character who opposes the "good guy" (or "good girl") of the story; this character is often looked upon as the "bad guy" (or "bad girl") of the story antagonist
a major idea in a story (usually, just one intangible word such as love, family, jealousy, pride, ambition, confidence, etc.) theme
often, an instance of the unexpected; for example, when something that seems bad/horrible but turns out for the good, like Virgil getting trapped in a well irony

a struggle between two opposing forces, usually categorized as one of the following types: 1) man vs. nature, 2) man vs. society, 3) man vs. man, and 4) man vs. himself conflict
an event that happens which gets a story started inciting incident
when an author drops hints about what will happen later in the story foreshadowing
the time and place in which a story happens setting
