What does the Mariner do at the end of part one? Why did he do this? He shoots the Albatross and kills it. He did it because he felt like it; just because.
After Albatross dies, what happens? How does the crew react? They lose wind. The crew curse the Mariner for killing their "good luck", the albatross
After the crew curses the Mariner, what do they transition back to? The crew then praise the mariner because though they lost the wind, at least they're now out of the ice.
Begin to thirst - drought "water, water everywhere"
Finally, what does the crew then do to the Mariner? Makes him hang the albatross around his neck.
Who are the two people that approach the Mariner and his crew's boat in part 2? The woman, "Life in death" and "Death."
What are the two doing and what happens? The woman, Life in death, wins as she and Death are casting a dice. Then, 200 crew die and they curse Mariner as their souls are lifting away.
What happens in the beginning of part 4? Mariner wishes for death because he is haunted with curses. He soon sees slimy snakes and blesses them instead of killing them like he did with the albatross. Albatross falls from neck.
Part 5 of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner Crew arises, spirit propels ship.
Lesson learned for the Mariner God loved the albatross. Penance will do.
