Specimen collection and processing of microbiology

For delays in transpot, most microbiologic specimens should be refrigerated except Blood / CSF / Anaerobic specimens
Specimens not routinely accepted for anaerobic culture are Sputum / Catheterized urine / Bowel contents
The temperature of incubation usually is 35C for bacteria and viruses and 30C for fungi. TRUE
