What is volunteering? It is when people carry out some work or activity without payment for their time and effort.
Why do people volunteer? They are passionate about a cause
Why do people volunteer? They have the time available and want to give back to the community
Why do people volunteer? They have a skill that is needed and want to put it to good use
Why do people volunteer? They enjoy the work and get personal satisfaction from doing it
What is a benefit of volunteering? You get to learn new skills and use existing ones
Why should I volunteer? Make new friends and improve social and interpersonal skills
What is a benefit of volunteerism to the organisation? Volunteers are unpaid so more funds can be directed to achieve the organisations goal.
What is a benefit of volunteerism to society? Local communities tend to improve when volunteers work together to solve issues.
