| Internet Directory | search engine that employes people to scan Internet pages and update search information |

| Metasearch | a search engine that compines results from multiple search engines |

| Bricks-and-Mortar | a real, physical store |
| multichannel retailer | a store that sells online AND through traditional methods |
| Pure-Play retailer | a store that only sells online |
| affilitate | way to make money online through links to other sites |
| B2B | business model where businesses sell to other businesses |
| B2C | business model where businesses sell to consumers |
| C2C | business model where consumers sell to other consumers |
| C2B | business model where consumers set the price they are willing to pay for something and the business then sells it for that price |

| G2C | business model where the government sells to consumers |
