Digital Footprint Refers to the trail of data you leave when using the internet. This includes websites you visit, emails you send, and information you submit online.
Cookies Cookies are text files with small pieces of data that are used to identify your computer as you use a computer network. HTTP cookies are used to identify specific users.
Geolocation the process/technique used to identify the geographical location of a person or device by means of digital information processed via the internet.
MetaData Metadata is defined as the data providing information about one or more aspects of the data; it is used to summarize basic information about data which can make tracking and working with specific data easier.
Data Information that has been translated into a form that is efficient for movement or processing.
Spreadsheet An electric document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations.
Browser History It's a list of your recently visited websites.
Digital Literacy The ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills.
Blog A regularly updated website or web page; typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.
Dossier A collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject.
Derogatory Showing a critical or disrespectful attitude.
Social Networking The use of internet-based social media sites to stay connected with friends, family, colleagues, customers, or clients.
Viral Relating to or involving an image, video, piece of information, etc., that is circulated rapidly and widely from one internet user to another.
Profile A short article giving a description of a person or organization.
Privacy Settings The part of a social networking website, internet browser, piece of software, etc. that allows you to control who sees information about you.
