Environmental Analysis A snapshot of an organization's internal and external environments at any given time.
Mission A common purpose that is understood, valued, and shared by members of an organization.
Scenario Planning (Scenario Development) Creative constructions of potential futures realities for an organization.
Stakeholders Groups or individuals with a vested interest in an organization's activities
Strategic Management Process whereby an organization uses environmental analysis to establish and implement strategic initiatives
Strategic Planning A managerial process of developing and maintaining a strategic fit between an organization's goals and resources, and its changing market opportunities
Strategy An plan of action that enables an organization to achieve its goals
SWOT Analysis An analysis of an organization's strengths (S), weaknesses (W), and an assessment of external opportunities (O) and threats (T)
Vision Organizational or program aspirations for the future
