Internal conflict | when a character must face something within himself or herself. |
External conflict | when a character must face someone outside of himself or herself. |
Direct characterization | when we are told upfront about a character’s traits or qualities. |
Indirect characterization | is when we must INFER things about a character’s traits or qualities. |
Man vs. Man | A struggle in which a character faces off against another person or character |
Man vs. Nature | A struggle in which a character must face extreme or dangerous weather conditions or animals |
Man vs. Self | A struggle in which a character must make a difficult decision or contend with something about himself |
Man vs. Society | A struggle in which a character must oppose people in charge, a way of thinking, or man-made “rules” |

Amigo Brothers | Amigo Brothers are about two boys who love boxing. One day at a boxing practice the coach picks the two friends to go against. Both of them were worried about there friendship and if they were still going to be friends after. |
Amigo Brothers pt.2 | ...So, a few days before the match they both decide not to talk to each other until after the match. When the day of the match came both of them played against each other and when the winners were going to be announced they both left. |
A Stranger Came Ashore | A Stranger Came Ashore is about a kid named Robbie who is suspicious of a guy named Finn who was the only survior on a ship wreck. Robbie thinks he is dangerous and is sure after he touched the selkie and fell on a cliff and Finn saved him. |
A Stranger Came Ashore pt.2 | ...Then Robbie finds out that that Finn wants to cut Elspeth's blonde hair off, put teh hair in the selkie kingdom, and after that she will die. |
