Color Theory/Teoria del Color

Color Theory (Teoria del Color) the science and art of using color (la ciencia y el arte de usar el color)
Color An element of art that is derived from reflected light. (Un elemento de arte que se deriva de la luz reflejada.)
Hue The pure color at the base of all variations of a color (example: hue of pink is red) El color puro en la base de todas las variaciones de un color (ejemplo: el hue del rosa es rojo)
Primary Colors (Colores Primario) Red, Yellow, & Blue. These colors CANNOT be made by mixing other colors together. (rojo, amarillo y azul. Estos colores NO SE PUEDAN hacer mezclando otros colores.)
Secondary Colors (Colores Secundarios) Orange, Green & Purple. These colors CAN be made by mixing together the primary colors. (Naranja, verde y púrpura. Estos colores se pueden hacer mezclando los colores primarios.)
Tertiary Colors (English) These colors are created by mixing primary and secondary colors together. Yellow-orange, red-orange, red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green.
Tertiary Colors (Spanish) Colores terciarios Este colores se crean mezclando colores primarios y secundarios. Amarillo-naranja, rojo-naranja, rojo-violeta, azul-violeta, azul-verde, amarillo-verde.
Color Psychology (Psicología del Color) The study of the effects of color on people and their moods (El estudio de los efectos del color en las personas y sus estados de ánimo)
Tint (El Tinte) A color created by adding white to a hue. For example, Pink is a "tint" of red. Red + White = Pink) (Un color creado añadiendo blanco a un hue. Por ejemplo, Rosa es un "tinte" de rojo. Rojo Blanco = Rosa)
Shade (La Sombra) A color created by adding black to a hue. For example, Navy blue is a "shade" of blue. Blue + Black = Navy Blue.
Cool Colors (English) "cool color" is used to describe any color that is calm or soothing in nature. Blue, Green, and Purple are the cool colors.
Cool Colors (Spanish) "color cool" se utiliza para describir cualquier color que sea tranquilo o calmante en la naturaleza. Azul, verde y púrpura son los colores cool.
Warm Colors (English) "warm color" is used to describe any color that is bold or vivid in nature. Red, Yellow, and Orange are the warm colors.
Warm Colors (Spanish) Colors Calido "color cálido" se utiliza para describir cualquier color que sea audaz o de naturaleza vívida. Rojo, amarillo y naranja son los colores cálidos.
