Vocabulary Terms For Docs

| Word Processing | A program that allows you to type a paragraph or something else |
| Default Font & Font Size | The font and size of the words that you have not edited |
| Single Spacing | A way to close in a paragraph and not have a space |
| Double Spacing | A paragraph style that is double spaced |
| Make a Copy | A way to copy a document and save it to your google drive |
| Download | To save the doc |
| Version History | A way to go over all of the websites that you have been on are things that you have searched up. |
| Move | To reposition anything |
| Underline | To underline the highlighted text |
| Italicize | A way to change the way your font looks |
| Cut | Remove the selection so you can paste it somewhere else. |
| Copy | Duplicate the selection so you can paste it somewhere else. |
| Paste | Add content that has been cut or copied to your document. |
| Paste Without Formatting | Add content that was cut or copied to your document and remove all formatting. |

| Commenter | People can make comments and suggestions, but can’t change or share the file with others. |
| Editor | People can make changes, accept or reject suggestions and share the file with others. |

| Center Alignment | A way to put your paragraph centered in your docs |
| Justified Alignment | To make your paragraph put it in a way. |
| Right Alignment | A way to change your paragraph to go to the right. |
| Shading | A way to shade the area of your paragraph |

| Table | A table is a grid of rows and columns that organizes complex information so that it is easy to find and understand. |
| Rows | A row is the information that is arranged horizontally (from left to right). |
| Columns | A column is the information that is arranged vertically (up and down) in the table. |
| Cells | A cell is where a column and row cross. Here is an example of a table: |
| Word Count | A way to check how many words are in the document |

| Shapes | A way to insert a shape or a smile face into your docs. |

| Headers | A text above the document |
| Footers | A text at the bottom of your document |
| Page Numbers | Insert a page number at the top or bottom of your page. You can also choose the position of the page number. |

| Page Orientation | Page orientation is the direction in which a document is displayed or printed. |
| Special Characters/Symbols | Insert characters that not numbers or letters present on your keyboard |
| Margins (default size) | The two basic types of page orientation are portrait vertical and landscape horizontal |
| Landscape | A way to print you doc |
| Portrait | A another way to print you doc |
| Spelling/Grammar Check | A way to check you spelling a grammar which it underlines the text to indicate that it is incorrect |

| Redo | Adds the last action deleted back into the document. |
| Zoom | A way to zoom in on something |
| Format Painter | A way to copy the design of a different text. |
