Copy Copies the selected text.
Paste Pastes copied or cut text.
Undo Removes the last action that was added into the document.
Redo Adds the last action that was deleted back into the document
Word Processing A system that lets you type on a document, such as Google Docs
Default Font The default font when you enter a new document, Arial 11.
Single Spacing A type of spacing that spaces lines and paragraphs closely together.
Double Spacing A type of spacing that spaces lines and paragraphs distantly.
Make a Copy Makes a copy of a document or slideshow that lets you edit it.
Download Lets you download a document (.pdf, .docx, .txt, etc.)
Version History Allows you to access previous edits and changes made to a doc.
Move Move a paragraph using cut to another area (ex. move paragraph 3 above paragraph 1.)
Underline Places a line under text.
Italicize Makes the text slanted.
Bold Makes the text darker,
Cut Removes the selection to be pasted somewhere else on the document.
Paste without Formatting Pastes copied or cut text without formatting it.
Share Lets you share a document with other people, making others an editor, commenter, and viewer.
New Create a new document.
Open Open a document.
Increase Font Makes the font larger
Print & Print Setup Prints a document
Rename Changes the name of a document
Decrease Font Makes the font smaller
Page color The color of the document that can be changed in page setup
Font Color The colors of the font
Capitalization Change the selected text between different types of capitalization
Highlight Adds color behind the text and is found on the ribbon
Superscript Puts text above baseline
Subscript Puts text below baseline
Strikethrough Puts a line through text
Bullets Dots that let you list things
Numbering Numbers that let you list things
Viewer Someone who can view a document but cannot edit or comment on it
Commenter Someone who can view and comment on a document but cannot edit it.
Editor Someone who can edit, comment & view a document.
Left Alignment Sets text to the left margin of the document
Center Alignment Sets text to the middle of the document
Justified Alignment Spaces text so it leaves as little space as possible between margins
Right Alignment Sets text to the right margin
Shading Fills text boxes
Borders Puts a line around text and images
Find & Replace .Find a word or phrase in your document and replace it with another word or phrase.
Select All Selects all the text
Table Organizes data on a Google Docs in cells.
Rows Information or data that is arranged horizontally.
Columns Information or data that is arranged vertically
Cells Where a row and column cross.
Word Count Counts the amount of words and characters in a document of highlighted text.
Image/Online Pictures Able to crop and replace images; along with other image options.
Word Art A way to make words look more aesthetic & fancy.
Shapes Geometric shapes used in Google Drawings
Drawing Google Drawings that can be inserted into a document.
Chart Shows data using Google Spreadsheets
Hyperlink A link attached to a word or phrase
Headers Words, phrases or numbers at the top of the document
Footers Words, phrases or numbers at the bottom of the document
Page Numbers Numbers at the bottom of the document using footers.
Text Box A box that lets you type words and phrases into it
Page Orientation The way the page is rotated (either landscape or portrait)
Special Characters/Symbols Symbols (other than letters and numbers) found in the "Insert" tab on the ribbon.
Margins The sides of the document.
Landscape Page laid out horizontally
Portrait Page laid out vertically
Spelling/Grammar Check Used to check spelling and grammar
Zoom Make the screen larger or smaller
Format Painter Takes the formatting of one paragraph and pastes it to another.
Clear Formatting Removes all formatting in a document.
Help Provides help with finding tools and keyboard shortcuts
