TermDefinition
Computers are electronic devices. They are also machines.
Computers They are used in browsing the web, computing, telecommunication, watching movies, listening to music, encoding documents, editing photos and videos, playing games and even for e-learning.
Laptop An example of a computer. An all in one, compact-size computer. Used to fold and can carry it anywhere. Powered up by a battery,
Smart Phone An example of a computer. Mainly used to call, text, take photos/selfies/videos and chat. Can put in your pocket.
Tablet An example of a computer. Mainly used to call, text, take photos/selfies/videos and chat. A wide version of the smartphone.
Smart Watch An example of a computer. Mainly used to track footsteps, heartbeat or pulse and tells time.
Monitor I can see the displayed texts, colors, lines, shapes, pictures and videos!
Keyboard I am used to type and give instructions to the computer!
Mouse I am used to point, click, drag and drop objects inside the computer!
Speakers They are used to give sounds and music from the computer
Printer I am used to print texts and pictures from the computer!
System Unit We use it to turn on and make the computer work! They house the motherboard, hard drives, CPU, RAMs and many more!
Central Processing Unit the brain of the computer
Hardware is any part of the computer that we can touch.
Software are programs in a computer. It is any part that CANNOT be touched, but rather using through the computer.
Programs are the instructions that make a computer work.
Input Devices to give data to the computer.
Output Devices to get information from the computer.
