Tech words

what does these words mean read to find out.
Field a field holds exactly twenty types of information.
Bit a bit is a signal that computers use to tell it if it’s on (1) or off (0).
Binary the binary is a way of counting by using just one and zero. 1,1 means 3.
Byte 8 bits strung together.
Backup an extra copy of the document or program.
floppy disk a disk that hold memory
Initialize to initialize a disk is to modify it and give it more information.
Modem a device that links computers to computers using telephone lines.
Peripheral a device that connects to your computer, usually by cable.
URL a URL is the address of a website on the World Wide Web.
