How long does renal regulation take to restore acidic blood levels to normal range? The kidneys can excrete Hydrogen ions and reabsorb bicarbonate in order to restore the homeostasis of the blood in a matter of days.
Name 1 Source of Hydrogen IONS in the body? Carbonic Acid is a major source of H+ and is from all cell activity which produces CO2.
Name 1 more Source of Hydrogen IONS in the body? Inorganic Acid is produced during nutrient breakdown- dietary proteins contain a large quantity of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid.
Name the last Source of Hydrogen IONS in the body? Lactic acid and fatty acid.
