Digital Footprint Information about a person that exists because of there online activities
Cookies A small text file stored in the users computer that provides a way to recognize you and keep track of your preferences
GeoLocation Determining your approximate location from an electronic device such as a computer, cell phone, satellite, etc.
MetaData A set of data that describes and gives information about other data
Data Facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis
Spreadsheet An electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations
Browser History The list of web pages a user has visited
Digital Literacy the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information
Blog A website or web page, usually run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style
Dossier A collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject
Derogatory Showing a critical or disrespectful attitude
Social Networking the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself
Viral An image, video, advertisement, etc., that is circulated rapidly on the internet
Profile A visual display of personal data associated with a specific user, or a customized desktop environment
Privacy Settings The part of a social networking website that allows you to control who sees information about you
