| Digital Footprint | the information about a particular person that exists on the internet as a result of their online activity |
| Cybersecurity | the state of being protected against the criminal or unauthorized use of electronic data, or the measures taken to achieve this |
| Virus | a piece of code which is capable of copying itself and typically has a detrimental effect, such as corrupting the system or destroying data |
| Copy-right infringement | occurs when a copyrighted work is reproduced, distributed, performed, publicly displayed, or made into a derivative work without the permission of the copyright owner |
| Plagiarism | the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own |
| Digital etiquette | a basic set of rules you should follow to make the Internet a better place for yourself and for others |
| Hackers | a person who uses computers to gain unauthorized access o data |
| Cyber warfare | the use of computer technology to disrupt the activities of a state or organization, especially the deliberate attacking of information systems for strategic or military purposes |
| Cryptography | the art of writing or solving codes |
| ethics | moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity |
| Infringement | the action of breaking the terms of a law, agreement, etc. |
| Appropriate Use | using something correctly and in a way that fits the situation |
| CAPTCHA | a program or system intended to distinguish human from machine input, typically as a way of thwarting spam and automated extraction of data from websites |
