Sheets is short for... Spreadsheet
Spreadsheet An app that allows you to organize, edit, and analyze different types of information using tables and charts
Cell Most basic part of a spreadsheet where a row and a column intersect
Row A horizontal line of boxes, indicated by numbers
Column A vertical line of boxes, indicated by letters
Address or Reference A combination of a column letter and a row number indicating a location in a spreadsheet
Interface System through which the user commands and responds to a device or app.
Formula Math problem entered by the user that the spreadsheet solves
Value The result of a math problem that appears in a spreadsheet box
PEMDAS the order of math operations
Range A group of cells in a line or block, shown as the starting address separated from the ending one by a colon
Graph or chart Data represented as a picture
Fill handle A part of a cell that shows up when the cell is clicked and allows the user to copy content from one cell to a group of cells or continue a series.
Asterisk (*) The symbol used by computers for multiplication
Forward slash (/) The symbol used by computers for division
Caret (^) The symbol used by computers for exponents
Merge Allows the user to combine several cells together
Freeze Keeps a group of cells visible on the screen, while allowing the user to scroll other rows of information related to them
