| Sole Proprietorship | A business ran by one person |
| Partnership | A business started and ran by two people |
| Corporation | a business that is registered by the state |
| Limited Liability Corporation | A company or Business that has managers and owners who enjoy limited liability with tax benefits |
| Competition | The act of two or more parties competing or challenging each other towards a certain goal |
| Investment | The process of saving money to use in the future |
| Capital | Money that you use to start a business or use to save to make more money |
| Non Profit Corporation | Legal business that makes money for reasons apart from the owners |
| Sub-chapter S Corporation | A business that is set up like a corporation, but taxed like a partnership |
| Equity | a fancy word for money |
| Profit | a financial gain |
| Risk | The danger of losing something |
| Venture | An activity where there is a risk of losing something |
| Economic resources | resources that can make goods and services |
| Expenses | the costs of operating a business |
| Primary data | Data gathering by yourself |
| Secondary data | Data gathered by somebody else |
