| chart | is a graphical representation of data contained in a spreadsheet. May be referred to as a graph. |
| pie chart | shows the relationship of a part to a whole by dividing a circle into several "slices". |
| chart labels | words or phrases that identify parts of a chart. |
| slice | is a section of or a piece of the pie. |
| legend | a list that identifies patterns or symbols used in a spreadsheet. |
| bar chart | uses rectangles of varying heights to illustrate values in a spreadsheet. |
| column charts | referred to as vertical bar chart |
| axis | line of references in a chart of graph |
| x-axis | designates the horizontal scale in a chart. |
| y-axis | represents the vertical scale in a chart. |
| axis titles | are short descriptions of the items, unit, or scale represented on the axes. |
| line chart | similar to a bar chart except the bars are replaced by points connected by a line. |
| data points | on a line chart represents the intersection of a value on the y-axis and a category or value on the x-axis |
| stacked bar chart | a bar chart in which each bar is divided into segments. |
